Scandic Pelagic is one of Europe’s leading pelagic fish processors specializing in herring and mackerel. Scandic Pelagic produces and sells quality products to selected distributors, wholesale companies, international supermarket chains, manufacturing companies, catering companies and global trading companies, from whom there is a growing demand for healthy, high-quality sustainable food nationally as well as internationally. Scandic Pelagic works closely with customers on product development.

Product and packaging are adapted to the customer’s wishes within:

• Fresh, frozen, marinated, and spicy herring products
• Fresh, frozen, and spicy mackerel products
• Matjes
• Salted herring roe

Quality is paramount. Scandic Pelagic only uses raw materials from sustainable fishing and has therefore entered into an agreement with a number of fishing vessels to ensure a stable supply. Scandic Pelagic has one of the world’s most efficient and flexible factories for processing pelagic fish, which meets all requirements regarding food safety and environmental issues. The fish are landed at the quay right next to the factory, and during production they are kept constantly at low temperature to ensure quality. Traceability is guaranteed, and the flexible production system makes it possible to deliver all known cut-outs and many different types of packaging.
